12 Tucson Halloween Events 2019

Halloween marks the first of many wonderful fall and winter holiday events. It’s a great way for all ages to reveal a different side and enjoy some spooky fun. Here are 12 options to check out.


Toddler Halloween Storytime at Kirk Bear Canyon Library

Date: October 23, 2019

Time: 10:15 am – 10:45 am

Cost: Free of charge

Hear Halloween stories, sing songs, and play learning games with Mr. Bill! Storytime will end with a costume parade throughout the library for treats. Designed for children 18- to 36-months-old. Parents/caregivers and children interact through stories, songs, and rhymes. Stories are kept short to fit the toddlers’ short attention spans.


Marana Pumpkin Patch

Date: Now- October 30th, 2019

Time: Monday-Thursday 3p-7p, Friday-Sunday 9a-7p

Cost: Monday-Thursday $11 per person, Friday-Sunday $13 per person, last weekend of October $15 per person

There are 50 acres of homegrown pumpkins (courtesy of Post Farms) so you can find your own personal favorite to take home. Walk through the patch and explore, as you find large ones, small ones, and ones that suit you just right! Other attractions include corn mazes, pig races, tractor rides, and much more.


Halloween Spooktacular at Oro Valley Community Center

Date: October 25, 2019

Time: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Cost: Free of charge

Spooktacular has quickly become a tradition at the Oro Valley Community Center. Enjoy themed activities, costumed staff, and games. A live DJ will keep the beats going as kids have fun as their favorite costumed characters. More than 25 local organizations will be handing out candy in Candy Cart Lane!


Boo at the Zoo at Reid Park Zoo

Date: October 25-27th, 2019

Time: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Cost: $8 – $11

Visit the Zoo for some spooktacular fun! Boo at the Zoo will feature the pirates, superheroes, princesses, and wizards inspired by your favorite characters. While you stroll through the Zoo, children will play old-fashioned games and activities while listening to live music in the Fall Festival Zone, explore a western skele-town, and visit event sponsors for ghostly goodies. Climb aboard the Sun Tran Spooky Bus for some monstrously magical surprises!

Ride a zombie zebra at the scare-ousel, munch on some spooky snacks at the Zoofari Market and enjoy the must-attend Halloween event of the year! Make sure to purchase tickets online to ensure a spot.


Howlapalooza at St. Francis in the Foothills

Date: October 25, 2019

Time: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Cost: Games are free, food available for purchase

Terrifying Trunk-or-Treat, Beastly Bounce House, Ghoulish Games Galore, Perilous Pumpkin Decorating and so much more. Join the St. Francis community in some Halloween fun!


Night of Fright at Pima Air & Space Museum

Date: October 26, 2019

Time: 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Cost: $10

This is “non-scary” Halloween carnival fun for the whole family. The admission price is $10 for ages 13 & older; members and children ages 12 & under are FREE. We encourage costumes and offer family-friendly Halloween activities including trick or treating, pony rides, fishing for prizes, baked goods walk, “Ghoulish” games, mummy bowling, and more!

The Flight Grill restaurant transforms into the “Fright Grill” for the evening, offering Halloween-themed dinners. Plus, the aircraft and exhibits in the Main Hangar are open for viewing under ghoulish lights. Night of Fright.


Fall Festival at Emmanuel Baptist Church

Date: October 26, 2019

Time: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Cost: Free

There will be food, jumping castles, face painting, and a trunk-or-treat!


Halloween in the Wild at International Wildlife Museum

Date: October 26, 2019

Time: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Cost: Free With Paid Admission

Spend this Halloween exploring the creepy castle! Halloween in the Wild is a fun, not-too-scary event for the whole family. Activities include Halloween arts and crafts, games, live animal encounters, and a Haunted House, if you dare.

Participate in the Costume Contest, Cake Walk, Pumpkin Weight Guess, and Candy Corn Guess to win fun prizes! Kids collect treats at all game stations!


TMC Get Moving Tucson Half-Marathon, 5k, and FitKidz Mile

Date: October 27, 2019

Time: 6:30 am – 9:30 am

Cost: $80

Get Moving Tucson is Tucson’s most popular urban half-marathon with three events to choose from and live music, a vendor expo, children’s activities, jumping castle, food trucks, breakfast after-party, and more. For both the 5k and the Half, the fun begins in the heart of Downtown Tucson, with a route including historic West University and the canyons of Downtown.


Spooktacular Science at Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium

Date: October 27, 2019

Time: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Cost: $5

Enjoy some hair-raising fun and spooky Halloween activities and demonstrations! We’ll have various tricks and treats, including slippery slime, squid dissections, spooky arts & crafts, chemistry curiosities, and of course, our special Halloween laser show! Come in costume to be entered in a special drawing for a free Family Membership ($105 value)!


Udall’s Haunted Playground

Date: October 30th, 2019

Time: 5-7p

Cost: Free of charge

The award-winning Udall’s Haunted Playground hosted by Tucson Parks and Recreation includes a well-lit, “safe” haunted playground and games, trunk-or-treat, a costume parade and music. The free event recently won the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association’s award for Outstanding Community or Neighborhood Special Event.


Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza at La Encantada

Date: October 31, 2019

Time: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Cost: Free of charge

Calling all ghosts, pirates, and witches! Join La Encantada and Mildred & Dildred for the Annual Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza!

Families and kids are invited to trick-or-treat at select stores within the shopping center.
